A VISUAL JOURNEY
The Spectrum of Creativity
In my artistic journey, I find exploring art through various mediums to be a process of learning and fun, seeking to understand each medium's capabilities, their textures, and how I can manipulate it into something that feels right- IF it feels right. Each piece I create is a journey from start to finish, a kind of therapeutic endeavor that allows me to engage my emotions and hopes in a tangible way.
My journey has taken me through many mediums like watercolors, inks (India, drawing, alcohols), pastels, charcoal and chalks, mixed media, paper and so much more. For my inquisitive spirit, I find that it is too hard to select just one to stick with as I enjoy the complex and intricate processes of each and sometimes it's just about the texture of the materials. In fact one of my rules is never to limit myself when trying a new medium, especially when they play well with each other on mixed media artwork.
I believe that art is not merely an expression or representation, but is also a gift- a way of sharing our thoughts with intention. It is an outlet that encourages dialogue, invokes deeper thought, and is a celebration of creativity.
